‘Tis the season y’all! Time to whip out those wallets, and start purchasing gifts for friends, family, co-workers, teachers, etc. And this year, to help you “delegate gifting,” I’m making it a little easier for you to find the perfect gift for a few of those people. And I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t have time to spend hours baking, packaging and crafting gifts for people, but I also don’t want to just hand out a bunch of gift cards. I hope that you find my list of gifts on each gift guide to be thoughtful, price-conscious and most important- easy to put together. Here is my list of gifts for teachers that could also work for your co-workers and “casual friends.” These items can be mixed and matched depending on how much you you want to spend per person. Happy shopping!
- If you don’t already know that World Market is the mecca for gift baskets then I’ve just changed your “gifting life.” They change their gift inventory seasonally, but they also have staple gifts (food, decor, etc.) that they keep year round. These gift basket kits are uber-affordable and easy to put together. For this particular gift basket, I selected items that make the perfect hot chocolate & cookie bundle. I included a cute and affordable mug, a hot chocolate mix (ready to go for 3 cups), peppermint stir straws and an easy-to-make gingerbread cookie mix. Themed, but also super useful!
- I’ve noticed that many restaurants are changing their plastic straws to paper straws for smart biodegradable reasons, but unfortunately this means that the straws are HORRIBLE. They literally disintegrate in your mouth, and so I’ve actually resorted to carrying my own metal straws around with me. They are easy to clean, and WAY better than a paper straw. I love the idea of wrapping these straws up and including them with a cute cup and gift card to Starbucks!
- Coffee-Infused Gummy Bears and a cute drink tumbler all packaged together. Need I say more?
- Nothing says you’re “the best teacher ever” like an ornament that literally says “you’re the best teacher ever”. Thoughtful and seasonally appropriate!
- I’m a huge fan of WHHostess paper products, and I love this matching sticky note/ notepad combo. I can never have enough note pads to jot down all my crazy lists, and they might as well be stylish like these!
- Another great teacher ornament– this one includes the year. If you want to be really thoughtful, you can always have your child write their name on the back of the ornament with a permanent marker.
- If you’re teacher is from another city/state, they probably miss home. I love these “homesick” candles that are offered in tons of city options so that they can be reminded of home while enjoying a wonderfully scented candle.
- I don’t cook, but most everyone else does, and this is one of the prettiest recipe books I’ve ever seen. And if you do cook, you can always include one or two of your favorite recipes inside before gifting it to your teacher!
- This is an “oldie but goodie.” I love the drink tumblers from Kate Spade, and if you throw in a Starbucks Gift Card, you really can’t go wrong. Even if your teacher doesn’t drink coffee, they could grab a snack or tea.
- Another gift basket from World Market, but this one is specifically designed for the tea-loving teacher. Everything you need for tea in a cute mug and yummy shortbread!
