Well friends, we’ve made it to the end of the summer, and I’m actually excited for the change in seasons here in Nashville. Maybe it’s because my kids go back to school, and as much as I love them, mamma needs a break. I’ve also already purchased a new closet-full of sweaters and swapped out my cold brew coffee for the warm latte machine, so clearly, I’m in a fall-state-of-mind. However, I have one last end-of-summer-supper tablescape (quite the mouthful) to share with you before we leave all the bright colors behind us for the season.
This is one of my favorite tables that I’ve pulled together to date. The color-combination scared me at first when initially developing a concept, but this table decor turned out better than I ever could’ve imagined. It didn’t hurt that the team at FLWR Shop brought in the most incredible ranunculus I’ve ever seen in person. Can you EVEN?!
I started this table with staple tabletop items from Draper James. The paper table runner and place cards of course match, and I’m obsessed with the turquoise color and bows detailed on each. Bows are my jam, if you haven’t noticed yet. I also knew I wanted to include their color-coordinated “Cheer’s Y’all” gummy bears from Sugarfina on the table, which served as the perfect favor for each guest.
Though I love blue and white, I did want to introduce some additional bright summer colors into the design that complimented the blue color, but weren’t too matchy-matchy. Alex from FLWR Shop suggested these orange and yellow ranunculus, and they literally stole the show. Every image of them looks like a painting, but I promise they are real!
I kept the rented china and flatware simple, so as not to distract from everything else, but I couldn’t help but bring back a pop of blue by including these rental blue goblets. I wanted this table to look whimsical and fun, but still sophisticated, and I think it’s the perfect décor for an end-of-summer soiree. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!
