I love a good “dress to the decor” moment, and there’s no easier time of year to do so than the holidays! I decided to focus all my “fashion posts” around holiday parties as that’s my focus here on MSS. There are countless options for attire, and of course they are all based on what kind of event you would be attending- school party, cocktail party, holiday open house, etc. So for this particular post, I decided to focus on pieces that can be mixed and matched depending on where you’re going. Or, you could wear multiple items all at once for a “more is more” look, which you know I love! This is my more whimsical guide, but I will be posting other more “low-key” fashion guides soon!
- Emily McCarthy offers just about everything you need for entertaining on her website, including clothing! How cute is this “Cheers” Sweater?!? It would also look great with the Emerald Pleated Skirt she carries (#4).
- I just about jumped for joy when TeamRLN released their holiday earring collection. I wanted every single one they came out with this year, but my two favorite pairs are these “Holly Jolly” Earrings and the “Oh Christmas Tree Earrings” (#5).
- I’m a huge fan of Boden, and they always release the best “themed” sweaters during the holidays. This “Festive Fair Isle Sweater” is perfect for keeping you warm AND stylish at your kids’ holiday party at school.
- Here’s the “Emerald Pleated Skirt” I mentioned above that can be found at Emily McCarthy for a great price and is pretty perfect for the holiday season.
- Again, these “Oh Christmas Tree Earrings” are holiday-cheer-perfection.
- And if you need just one more pair of holiday earrings, I suggest these “Bright Bulbs Dangles” from Bauble Bar.
- Everyone needs a boujee headband these days- especially at holiday parties. This “Becca Beaded Headband” from Bauble Bar is actually a great price for the quality.
- This bag may say it’s for “girls” but I just bought one for ME. This “Cheers Acrylic Clutch” is the perfect mini bag for cocktails and going out this holiday season!
- Another cute holiday top from Boden with sequined trees that move up and down!
- There are a lot of sequined skirts out there, but I especially love this midi-length option is shiny without being “too shiny” and goes with just about everything!
- If you prefer clips instead of headbands (I’m getting these for my daughter), then these “Giftwrap Hair Pins” are for you and so fun!
- Talk about dressing to the decor- these bow mules from the Katy Perry Collection are EVERYTHING and come in multiple color options.
- We are back to headbands, and this very cheeky “Giftwrap Headband” will be on my head just about this entire holiday season.
- These two comfortable but festive sweatshirts can be worn with jeans or a skirt around Christmas and then again around New Year’s!
- If you’re looking for a more “sassy” sequined skirt option, I like this one because of the length and color of the sequins. This “Sequined Pencil Skirt” could be worn year-round at the right occasion- especially at New Year’s!
- For all those southern gals out there, this “Jingle Belle Sweater” is calling our names!
- Don’t like larger statement earrings, try these “Bon Bon Stud Earrings” that are festive but not “too festive”- ha.
- I love when JCrew releases their holiday collection. Every year I go straight to the shoes, and I was not disappointed this year. I especially love these “Tartan Pom Pom Pumps,” as they just scream “holiday cheer” to me!
